Commissioner in Chancery
A Commissioner in Chancery may be appointed as an officer of the court to perform many specific functions that will assist a sitting Judge. A Commissioner in Chancery may manage discovery, decide and report on dispositive motions, make determinations of damages, etc. The use of a Commissioner in Chancery is frequently seen in family law matters, real estate and construction disputes, as well as in other complex cases. However, the use of a Commissioner in Chancery is not limited to these areas.
All parties must be represented by counsel unless The McCammon Group gives consent in exceptional circumstances.
