Ombuds Spotlight – Karen Asaro
As part of our ongoing “Ombuds Spotlight” Series, we are highlighting Karen Asaro, who is passionate about helping employees navigate workplace conflicts and organizational processes. Karen assists employees in identifying their concerns and telling their stories in a way that allows them to be the best advocates for themselves.
Karen brings several strengths to her role as an Ombuds, including being a good listener, open-minded, non-judgmental, and compassionate. A recent email from a former client perfectly captures the impact of her work: “I am so glad I contacted the Ombuds Office. I really felt empowered to advocate for myself and it has made a tremendous difference. Thank you for helping me to love my job again.”
