Ombuds Spotlight – Jacqueline Villafañe, Psy.D.
Jacqueline Villafañe, Psy.D., has over twenty years of conflict and problem resolution coaching. In addition to being an Ombuds in a solo and multi-ombuds office, setting up effective workflows for case management, data collection, and reporting are strengths. With decades of facilitation and training, executive and diversity coaching, and mediation experience, she holds multiple certifications in psychometric instruments and coaching methodologies. Currently serving a term on the International Ombuds Association (IOA) Board, she is an author, a member of the ABA Dispute resolution section, and is an outsource / contract based Ombuds.
Jacqueline’s experience intersects many industries helping individuals, leaders, teams, and organizations own their transformation journey across many industries globally. She is a mediator with extensive experience in employment and business mediation and is familiar with mental health systems, biomedical, disaster relief, military, government, nonprofit, and for-profit sectors. Individual, team, or system-based transformational change is rewarding work as an Ombuds. Approaching complex problems with solution focused methodologies, using various coaching modalities, and leveraging systems and design thinking have been instrumental when working with clients. Being able to help others resolve conflicts and navigate complexities currently challenged and simultaneously increasing the learning of new skills to contribute to change is priceless.
