Ombuds Spotlight – Hon. Jeri K. Somers (Ret.)

We are pleased to shine a light on the Honorable Jeri K. Somers (Ret.), who has been a mediator and arbitrator with The McCammon Group since 2022 and now brings this invaluable experience to our Ombuds Team. After 18 years of dedicated service as a Judge on the United States Civilian Board of Contract Appeals (CBCA), where she most recently held the position of Chief Judge, Judge Somers brings a wealth of expertise in resolving complex disputes. She also held key positions within the Department of Transportation Board of Contract Appeals, showcasing her commitment to upholding fairness and integrity in legal proceedings. As a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force, Judge Somers has served in various capacities, including as the Staff Judge Advocate for the DC Air National Guard, and as a military lawyer both on active duty and in the reserves.

Beyond her legal prowess, she’s an avid golfer and traveler, and in 2015 alone, completed numerous marathons and races. With a lovely daughter, two beloved dogs, and a unique family legal legacy, Judge Somers is a valued asset to our team, blending experience, passion, and a commitment to excellence in her role as an Ombuds.
