Honorable Paul F. Sheridan, retired Chief Judge of the Arlington Circuit Court, has received the 2010 Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys Award for Excellence in Civil Litigation.  Judge Sheridan was honored with this award at the 36th Annual Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys’ Awards Luncheon on Thursday, October 14, 2010.

This award honors those distinguished jurists, civil litigators, or other professionals who exhibit the highest standards of ethics, demeanor, and temperament; exemplary conduct in and out of the courtroom; courtesy and fairness; high quality of legal work; service and leadership to the bar; continuing commitment to educating Virginia lawyers; and other criteria that the Board deems appropriate.

Judge Sheridan joined The McCammon Group, upon his retirement from the bench in 2003.  Since that time, he has mediated/arbitrated more than 500 cases resulting in settlements/awards totalling more than $300,000,000.
