The Honorable Jerome B. Friedman, retired Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, has joined The McCammon Group (TMG), a leading mediation, arbitration, facilitation, training, and consulting firm.
Judge Friedman served more than thirteen years on the bench of the United States District Court. Before that appointment, he served on the Circuit Court of Virginia Beach for six years (1991-1997) and was Chief of that Court from 1994 to 1997. Prior to that, he was appointed to the Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court in Virginia Beach in 1985, where he was the Chief Judge from 1988 to 1991. Before his judicial career, he enjoyed a successful broad civil litigation career as a Partner at Pender & Coward in Virginia Beach.
Judge Friedman has served the legal community as a former Member of the Federal Judges’ Association, Second District Ethics Committee of the Virginia State Bar, and as a Member of the Law Board of Visitors at Wake Forest University. He is also a former Director of the Virginia Opera Association and Beth Sholom Home of Eastern Virgina, as well as a former Vice President of Old Dominion University Alumni Association.
