Retired United States Magistrate Judge B. Waugh Crigler, a Neutral with The McCammon Group, has been named the recipient of the William R. The award is to be presented June 18, 2015, at the Virginia State Bar’s annual meeting in Virginia Beach.
The award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and vision in developing and implementing innovative concepts to improve and enhance the state of legal education, and in advancing relationships and professionalism among members of the academy, the bench, and the bar within the legal profession in Virginia.

Prior to his appointment to the bench, Judge Crigler enjoyed a successful litigation career in Culpeper, handling a variety of cases including personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability, and appellate work. As a Magistrate Judge, his docket included complex commercial, construction, employment, and IP matters. A veteran of more than 500 settlement conferences, Judge Crigler joined The McCammon Group in 2014 to serve the mediation, arbitration, judge pro tempore, and special master needs of lawyers and litigants throughout the Commonwealth and beyond.
Since 1995, The McCammon Group has provided alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services including mediation, arbitration, neutral evaluation, special master, judge pro tempore, med/arb, neutral evaluation, hearing officer, fact finder, and conciliation; as well as related facilitation, training, and consulting services. It consists of seventy-seven Neutrals including retired judges and practicing attorneys located throughout Virginia, Washington D.C., and Maryland.
