The Hon. Michael T. Garrett (Ret.) has joined The McCammon Group, a leading provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services in the mid-Atlantic region.
The Honorable Michael T. Garrett has retired after eighteen years of distinguished judicial service. Most recently, he served eight years on the Amherst County Circuit Court with one term as Chief Judge. Prior to that, he served ten years on the Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court where he was Chief Judge for two years. As a lawyer, he enjoyed a successful career in private practice and served as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for Amherst County. A Past President of the Lynchburg Bar Association, Judge Garrett is a former Mentor Judge for newly elected Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court Judges and a former Faculty Member of the Virginia State Bar’s Professionalism Course. Judge Garrett now brings this record of dedication and accomplishment to The McCammon Group to serve the mediation, arbitration, judge pro tempore, and special master needs of lawyers and litigants throughout the Commonwealth.
Since 1995 The McCammon Group has provided ADR services including mediation, arbitration, special master, ombuds, and judge pro tempore. It consists of eighty-five Neutrals including retired judges and practicing attorneys located throughout Virginia, DC, and Maryland.
