Stephanie Garner is a seasoned conflict resolution practitioner with over a decade of experience supporting individuals and organizations in government, international, and nonprofit settings. Stephanie holds an M.S. in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University and a B.A. in International Relations from Elon University. She is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coach Federation, a Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioner (CO-OP®) eligible through the International Ombuds Association, and a Certified Virginia Supreme Court Mediator. She is fluent in Spanish.
Known for her strategic insight and calm presence, Stephanie supports organizations and leaders with conflict trend analysis, coaching, and systemic interventions She specializes in helping people navigate complex workplace challenges through conflict coaching, mediation, facilitation, and customized training, having delivered impactful content on topics ranging from communication and feedback to de-escalation and negotiation.
Stephanie currently serves as an Associate Ombudsman at the U.S. Department of Energy, where she provides confidential, impartial, and informal services to employees across the organization. She has also led key Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) initiatives at the World Bank, including the Integrated Conflict Management System and the Respectful Workplace Advisors Program, overseeing training and coaching for a global network of over 300 peer advisors.
