Areas of Experience

Elaine is a conflict resolution professional with over 35 years’ experience in a variety of industries (pharmaceutical, consumer products, services, manufacturing, and the non-profit sector). She is a Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioner (CO-OP®); Certified Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) administrator; Conflict Coach; and Certified Mediator. She served as Ombuds for Pfizer for 6 years. Elaine has also served as the Ombuds for the International Ombudsman Association and worked over the last several years with the Society for American Archaeology, as a workplace coach for the start-up, Bravely, and as the global Ombuds for US Green Building Council.

As an Organizational Ombuds, she helped establish programs in China and India. She holds a Masters Certificate in Conflict Resolution from Kansas State University, an MA in Labor Relations from University of Illinois, a BA in psychology from Illinois Wesleyan University and she studied law at Michigan State University College of Law. Elaine served on the Board of Directors for the International Ombudsman Association (IOA) as well as the Board of Directors for the Certified Organizational Ombudsman Practitioner® (CO-OP®) credentialing program.
