Hon. Thomas S. Shadrick (Ret.) Joins The McCammon Group

The Honorable Thomas S. Shadrick, retired Chief Judge of the Virginia Beach Circuit Court, has joined The McCammon Group (TMG), the Mid-Atlantic’s leading mediation, arbitration, facilitation, training & consulting firm.

Judge Shadrick served over eighteen years on the bench in the Virginia Beach Circuit Court until his retirement in March, 2008.  A former Agent and Legal Instructor for the FBI early in his career, Judge Shadrick later practiced law and became a managing partner of the law firm Pender & Coward in Virginia Beach.  Judge Shadrick’s general civil practice included a wide variety of cases including but not limited to personal injury, product liability, contracts, and trusts & estates.

In addition to his notable legal credentials, Judge Shadrick has served the community as a Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampton Roads, Founder and a Mentor of the Seatack Elementary School Mentoring Program, and a former Director of the Norfolk Forum.  He is a past President of the Virginia Beach Bar Association, as well as, a former Member of the Executive Committee of the Judicial Conference of Virginia, the Judicial Conduct Committee, and the Second District Ethics Committee, Virginia State Bar.

Judge Shadrick is the recipient of numerous awards including: Community Service Award from the Virginia Beach Bar Association; Governor’s Award for Outstanding Civic Engagement; and the Human Rights Award from the Virginia Beach Humans Rights Commission.
